Eligibility Criteria

This will open doors to jobs in hospital or retail pharmacies, as well as the pharmaceutical industry. Those having Diploma qualification in Pharmacy can work as a Pharmacist in Govt. /Semi Govt. / Private Hospitals. They can also start their own Medical Store. Diploma in Pharmacy holders can work as a Medical Representative have a broad range of employment opportunities open to them. The job avenues for a diploma pharmacist are open in public and private sector. They are mostly absorbed by government hospitals and health care departments and sale promotion work in Pharmaceutical Companies. Desirous students on completion of D.Pharm, can opt B.Pharm Course.

  • The candidate should have qualified for the 10+2 examination in the Science stream from any recognized Board of Higher Education with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of the three subjects namely: 1. Physics (essential subject) 2. Chemistry (essential subject) 3. Biology/ Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Computer Sciences (any one of these) Admissions are based on the guidelines of the BTE and are done in two modes: • Through the entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh ( JEECUP). • Directly on the vacant seat or through management quota based on merit in 10+2 examination.

  • On successful completion of the diploma course, students can explore job opportunities in the Pharmaceutical sector and work in various public and private sector institutions as pharmacists, quality analysts or production executives, and chemists in various departments of pharmaceutical industries as well in pharmaceutical retail chains. Diploma holders can also opt for higher studies through lateral entry in B.Pharma second year. A registered pharmacist can start his or her own pharmacy retail store.
